(((hugs)))  Hang in there!  Write down the stuff you're thinking and feeling.  It's fun to look at a year later.  Some of it is really funny in retrospect.  Just do everything they tell you to and you'll do great.  Keep us posted.  My prayers are with you.

God Bless You,   Deb

Dear Cathy,
Surgery makes us all apprehensive and yours will be life changing.  But you have already overcome much to get to this day and there is reason to expect continued success.  Rejoice in your achievements and good fortune.   You are about to receive the tool that has assisted so many to good health and increased happiness.  Visualize yourself brimming over with newfound vitality.  Let an attitude of gratitude replace any fear.  Welcome to the new and improved Cathy.
My date is coming and I know you will be there cheering me on.
Much love,  Carmel Valley Linda

How exciting, Cathy!

Tomorrow is your big day!  I remember the day before quite well.  I was luck and my daughter came from Phoenix to be with me and to help afterward.  She and my best friend spent the day contemplating blowing the whole surgery off and heading to Vegas.  We talked and laughed and giggled most of the day away.  I had "prep" to do before surgery so that took up my evening.

I actually did sleep a little, too!  Get ready for the most amazing experience!  Looking forward to hearing from you about your experience - this weekend you say......

Hugs,

Kathi

Cathy,

Wishing you the best possible transistion to the Loser's Bench!  The nervous energy is a part of the pre-surgery thing, best advice I can offer is keep busy.

Hugs and good wishes, my prayers will be on an easy recovery phase for you, Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen

Hi Cathy,
I was in your position 4 weeks ago today. I can't believe it's been 4 weeks! The day before, I was very busy with pre-op meetings at the hospital and I found the day went by very quickly. I was very calm and any doubts that I previously had were gone. I knew that I was doing what I had to do to get healthy and live a little longer.

Just take a deep breath and relax. Everything will be fine. By the weekend, you'll be feeling so much better and looking forward to all the benefits of weight loss.

I send you all the best thoughts and prayers!

Maggie

I am so happy for you .. It is perfectly normal to be nervous, Some people even call their doctors for a little "calm down" medicine. I also was one who was very calm. I was in such misery from my weight that I figured if Ididn't make it at least the pain would be over. I was more excited but of course apprehensive. This winter will be so full of changes for you by next summer you will feel like the butterfly emerging from the cocoon. You will be in my prayers, Blessings
